Doctor Who - ''One Day'' - Chapter 12Chapter 12
Clara sat on the bench in her and the Doctor's cell, watching the madly frustrated Time Lord pace back and forth like a caged lion. Occasionally, he would nervously glance at his wristwatch and know that with each passing second that ticked by, his granddaughter was in more and more danger.
"One hour, sixteen minutes, and five seconds we've been stuck in here!" he remarked with great upset, slamming his fists against the concrete wall. "Stuck in a deadlocked, magnetically sealed room with no screwdriver, no psychic paper, and no bloody way to get out and save Susan!"
Clara eyes widened, a bit startled at the Doctor's sudden outburst.
"You're not the Doctor," Clara said, backing into the corner away from him. "Who are you?"
The Doctor's expression suddenly shifted into one of genuine concern for his companion.
"Come on now, Clara. You know who I am," he said with a nervous smile. "Time Lord with two hearts from the planet Gallifrey, zoomin
Aravis Sedrayne - Character BioBorn on Azura's summoning day of Hogithum as the single child to Balyvan Sedrayne, a trader from the Imperial City, and Orvvana, an Ashlander shaman, Aravis witnessed the Oblivion Crisis of 3E 433 at the age of seven. At twelve years in the year 4E 5 when the Red Mountain disaster ravaged the island of Vvardenfell, forcing the Sedrayne family and thousands of other Dunmer to take refuge in the land of Skyrim.
Aravis and her parents found a new home in the Gray Quarter of the old Nordic city of Windhelm. The family's new life was cold and hard. Balyvan and Orvvana earned their gold as merchants selling goods. Aravis however, was able to make coin by honing her skills as a talented thief, and in doing so help support her struggling parents.
Balyvan was furious with how little regard the lives of the Dark Elves in Windhelm were treated and decided to gather a group of Dunmer men to rally a protest for the rights of the Elves. However, as soon as the city guar

The Ghost of Herself
It was nighttime in the Commonwealth. On a dark road walked four figures, their path dimly illuminated by the green light of a Pip-Boy. Fritz Malcolm, the Sole Survivor of Vault 111 led the group with laser rifle in hand. Behind him were his two companions and friends, Nick Valentine, Diamond City's synth detective, and Curie, Vault 81's robot medic-turned-synth. At Chase's heels was his faithful canine companion Dogmeat.
"How's she doing back there, Nick?" asked Fritz.
"Fine for now, but she's definitely been better," replied Nick, Curie's arm around him and her head resting on his shoulder. "How much further do we have?"
"Not much...wait! There it is!"
Nick looked towards where Fritz was pointing. In the distance, he could see the red glow of neon lights.
"The old truck stop?" Nick questioned.
"Yeah," replied Fritz. "I've kinda been making it my own little settlement, y'know?

by Matthew Killmer
A lone spaceship sailed through suborbital space, hundreds of miles over the cosmopolitan city surface of the planet Ehc’sapse. The sun glinted off of the worn dark metal hull that was emblazoned with blue and white markings. The vessel’s engine pulsed with a gleaming violet light that guided it across the inky black backdrop of space. This ship in particular was a Hornet-class security cruiser, used by the Elite Security Force to maintain peace throughout the nine planets of the United Colonies. The ship was a shape quite different from any spacecraft that the Pure Humans would have made in the past, as it was the result of a mixture of Human and Xarelehl technology. Its aft end formed its bulk. There the living quarters, engine room, and cargo bay were located. A gyroscope responsible for stabilization and steering in the airless vacuum of space was situated on the ship’s long,
Metroid: Lodestar - Chapter 2Chapter 2
"This is Samus Aran. I thought I'd start keeping a log here because...well, honestly I wouldn't have much to do besides talk to myself.
I have no idea where I am. I don't remember how I got here. I don't remember where I was when I sent my last communication.
I'm...stranded, long story short. The planet is definitely able to sustain human life, but as far as I know, I'm alone here. I've activated my subspace beacon, and I hope someone finds it.
A drop of rain fell on Samus' head. She looked up and saw the dark clouds directly above her. The storm's here, she thought. She had finished setting up her shelter underneath the boughs of a large tree and being a curtain of long vines that hung from the branches down to the ground. The weather would not permit herself to make a fire. The lack of it conflicted Samus. While it would fend off the cold for the night, it might also attract attention from some of the
